I loved House of the Dead 3, as it still carries the essence of the franchise with its cheeky dialogues and a straightforward campaign. Additionally, the game still retains its charm, featuring interesting boss fights and a diverse array of enemy types. In my opinion, it was a great modern attempt at the classic rail shooter series, and the developers have done well.
Satisfying Gameplay
When I started the game, I discovered that I had the option to select between a regular pad and move controls. If you are playing on a PC, you can use a traditional mouse or keyboard. So, I tried both options and found that the move controller option was much better and more enjoyable than playing with a regular pad. Again, it's also fun with a mouse, as it makes the game easier to play. Unlike the previous games, where you use a pistol, this game equips you with a shotgun, adding a new flavor to the gameplay.

As always, House of the Dead 3 retained its gameplay essence, providing a satisfying experience. I enjoyed using the shotgun to blast the enemy. Most importantly, there was not a dull moment as the gameplay kept pumping my adrenaline as I kept blasting through different enemies. In short, it offers a very satisfying gameplay experience.
Beautiful Graphics
Despite the game being a decade old, I found the graphics to be stunning. The character models look clean and polished. Moreover, the combination of object designs, lighting, and the environment altogether creates a stellar appearance. I never complained about the graphics in my head, and I think, given the time it was released, it has House of the Dead magic to it, looking impressive.
On the other hand, I disliked the fact that the game lacks widescreen support. I was limited to playing at 4:3, which somewhat limited my enjoyment of this fantastic game.

Interesting Enemy Varieties
As always, House of the Dead III did not neglect increasing the variety of enemies. Also, combined with a new graphical look, the new enemy varieties looked deadly, meaning they fit the zombie shooting theme perfectly. I discovered different enemy types with their own sets of attacks on various levels, which refreshed my experience on each level, removing the monotony aspect.

Stellar Soundtrack
The House of the Dead series is prominent for its classic soundtrack and music. Similarly, House of the Dead 3 managed to carry that similar essence in the soundtrack. I found the soundtrack to be much improved, as it sounds more polished. Most importantly, for a zombie shooter game, the sound is very pleasing, and the character voices are decent as well.

Final Thoughts
House of the Dead 3 was a fantastic continuation of this lightgun series, and I found improvements in every aspect, from the graphics to the story to the gameplay. Not to mention, the classic boss fights, featuring different enemy types, which maintain the franchise's integrity.
